I cannot stress how important it is to remember all of those close family, friends, and wedding vendors that made your wedding day possible and perfect. Shana remembered. Literally, she thanks everyone for the time and the energy he/she put into making the day perfect. Take notes.
Casey and I cannot express enough gratitude to all of those that helped make our wedding day possible. We had friends donate their time for setup and cleanup of the rehearsal dinner and wedding. My Matron of Honor’s mother blessed us with her talents by making the bouquets, cake, decorations and more. Taylor made sure that every out of town guest was welcomed with a gift and guidance into this exciting town. Mallory ensured that our guests found their way to the ceremony. Emily, Caleb and Haley shared their God given talents for the ceremony music. Lisa put together a wedding day emergency kit to take care of any of the mishaps (deodorant, tampons, sewing kit, breath mints, bobby pins, pain meds, hairspray etc). My sweet mother made sure that I had something old (handkerchief) and something new (my dress). My nieces, Julia and Sophia, greeted guests with their smiling faces and made sure they received everything they needed before the ceremony began. Our mentors and dear friends, Ray and Robyn McKelvy, offered their love, support and encouragement. Not to mention, Ray preformed the most amazing ceremony and Robyn’s catering had all of the guests raving. Casey’s parents supported us emotionally and financially throughout the wedding planning process. Kate, Emily, Jessica, Mallory, Casey’s aunts and my friends from work held awesome showers for us and truly showered us with love and gifts to help make our new home complete. We have video of our wedding thanks to both of my brother-in-laws and my friend Drew. Our friend Rich provided all A/V needs. My coworkers surprised me with the gift of a limo for Casey and me to leave the reception and head to our honeymoon. My community group gave Casey and me one night in a hotel for our honeymoon. My sister, Pam, and her husband, Gino, gave us the other night. Casey’s community group helped setup and tear down for the rehearsal dinner and even the wedding. My college friends, Heather and Mark, made sure that I had a mani/pedi for my big day. Sara Beth’s mom provided beautiful, simple invitations, just like what I wanted. Sarah Barlow blessed us with a special rate and unforgettable photography. Party Providers provided the rentals, flawless. Meg helped make sure the rentals ended up back where they belong. Kevin drove late Friday night to deliver Casey’s toiletries bag to our hotel. Joshua helped Robyn with catering. Kate and Tim got all of our gifts and food to our house and brought us our car on Saturday. My aunt, Monica, offered her talents to my mom to help her feel more beautiful than ever. My uncle Ricky walked my mom down the aisle at my last minute request. Tyler and Jess provided us an awesome DJ, ran errands over and over again, and shared a bible verse during the ceremony. Jansbo on The Rocks provided free bartending services for our rehearsal dinner. Our friends at JETS gave us an awesome deal. The folks at the Martin Center and Fellowship Bible Church did all they could to make our day special. The Simms ensured that our friends in East Nashville made it to the ceremony. I could go on and on and on. We are beyond appreciative of all of your time, love, support, gifts and prayers. We could only hope to return the favor one day. With all of that help, Casey and I stayed within budget for the rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception! We never thought it would be possible to have all of that on our budget, but God is good and so are his people! My dream of a simple, yet elegant wedding that pointed towards Christ came true.
If you must, keep a list of those to thank in your planner so you don’t forget. Try to send these thank you messages as soon as you return from your honeymoon. Words of thanks warm hearts.
Again, Thank you Shana and Casey for letting us into your special day!
