I hope you had a wonderful weekend full of all the lovely things you enjoy. My hubby and I spend the weekend doing a few very small projects around the house, baking, and enjoying a day of fun together. Marry Me Weddings, of Columbia, SC, sent over this enchanting outdoor wedding to share with you. I adore the subtle colors of the flowers against the bridesmaids pop of blue, the vintage plates, and the plantation venue. Enjoy!
From Roxanne of Marry Me Weddings: The two were married at the bride’s family plantation home near Carlisle, South Carolina- an antebellum residence on the National Register of Historic Places The Walk: Suzie’s march up the aisle was accompanied by a bagpiper, a truly emotional presentation of the bride Favorite Design Element: There were so many: the mismatched antique china furnished by the caterer, the two coordinating pillows handmade by the bride’s mother, the monogrammed handkerchief Suzie carried down the aisle… all so unique and memorable! First Dance: The couple’s first dance to Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic” was followed by a night of dancing and partying to the Root Doctors Good Eats: Guests dined on fresh boiled shrimp, beef tenderloin, sauteed Carolina quail breasts complete with plantation cheese grits and spring vegetables – a menu fitting this Southern-style plantation wedding The Getaway: The newlyweds rushed through a sea of sparklers on their way to a waiting car. They traveled to Charlotte that night and left the next day for a warm, tropical honeymoon.
