Here’s my top tips:

  1. Mom’s shop early! Don’t wait until a month before the wedding to shop. I know some of you are thinking that you’re loosing a few pounds and want the one you buy to fit perfectly however if you find a dress you love, buy it. Buy the size that fits you now. If you need to make alterations a few weeks before, the perfect fit will be worth it. You don’t want to be rushing around worried about a dress three weeks before the wedding.
  2. Find a dress that you feel beautiful in. I know this seems like a no-brainier but really you should love the way you look in the dress. You’ll have photos from this big day and you’ll want to look back and see your lovely self for years to come.
  3. Have a custom dress made. I know you’re thinking that custom means expensive but that’s not always the case. Choose a style you love in a versatile fabric and you’ll have a piece you can wear for years to come.

Happy shopping ladies!
