Friday DIY: Apple Butter Favors

Happy Friday lovelies! On with my apple theme for the week. How about making some delish apple butter favors for you family & friends. Yes, it IS a good idea. As a matter of fact, I made these for my family as gifts for Christmas this past year. I actually ended up canning them so that they’d keep and gave out two per family. We’ve still got a few left over and opening them up is kind of a happy moment knowing my hubby and I made them.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 5 1/2 pounds apples – peeled, cored and finely chopped
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Head on over to Sweet and Savory by Sarah or Moms With Crockpots for the full recipe. My favorite way to package is in a 4 or 8 oz quilted ball jar with a cute tag and even a coordinating fabric covering the lid.

We’ll see ya in the studio!
