Wow, what a week! We’ve had so much fun meeting all of you lovely new brides and connecting with new vendors too! If you haven’t been in the studio yet, we look forward to meeting you very soon! We’ve got another fun DIY for you all today. If you’re not happy with the bow tie choices you’ve been seeing, why not make them? There’s a little sewing involved but it’s all straight lines and you don’t need a fancy machine.

Here’s what you’ll need:
- Fabric of your choice
- Lightweight interfacing (found in the fabric department of any fabric store)
- Set of bow tie accessories, like these ($3.29 for 12 sets)
- Sewing machine
- Coordinating thread

Head on over to Prudent Baby for the full tutorial on how to make each of the bow ties above. My favorite is the one on top. It’s the most realistic.
Looking to make a real bow tie for the big guys that really ties? Check out this tutorial over on Curbly.
If you’re loving the fabrics shown above, they’re from one of Amy Butlers earlier lines. You may be able to find some still around over on Etsy or Ebay. Need a great resource for unique fabrics? Check our The Fat Quarter Shop. They feature some of the prettiest quilting fabrics like these.
