{Breast Cancer Awareness} Pick a Pink Event

What girl doesn’t love pink? Not to mention what girl doesn’t love ribbon! Put the two together and you have a powerful symbol to rid our world of a devastating cancer…breast cancer.  In honor of October as Breast Cancer Awareness month, I thought I’d share some events that you and your fiance might partake in to share your blessings to help others at this time in your life.

So, what can you do? Here’s a list and links to check out how you can help out.

Start Your Engines! October 6th: All American 400 benefitting the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition (TBCC) at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Tickets are $30. More details here. (Other TBCC events such as a Tennessee Titans Ladies Only Football 101 are listed here.)

On Your Mark! Get Set! Go! Or Sleep! October 27th: Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Maryland Farms, Brentwood. Walk. Run. Fundraise. Out of town that weekend? You can also join Nashville celebs, like Martina McBryde, Sleep In for the Cure. Register here.

Grab a Bagel for Breakfast! Panera Bread serves a delicious Pink Ribbon Bagel made with cherry chips, dried cherries, cranberries, vanilla, honey and brown sugar just this month.  10 cents from every bagel sold goes to the TBCC.  Grab a bunch for breakfast in bed or for an afternoon treat!

OR Grab a Beer! Starrhill Brewing Company will donate proceeds from the selling of “The Love” beer to the TBCC during the month of October.  See here for a list of restaurants, bars, and retailers selling their beer.

Finding a common charity cause is an excellent way to bond with your soon-to-be husband.  Wedding 101 wants your engagement, wedding and your marriage to be beautiful!
