Today’s Vendor Spotlight shines on Kati Edge Make-Up & Hair. Yep, her job is to make you look as beautiful as you feel on your wedding day!
1. What made you get started in the wedding industry?
A wedding day is one of the most wonderful days of anyone’s life. Working in hair and make-up can already make such a big difference to anyone, but seeing a bride light-up when she loves something that I have done is really the icing on the cake for me.
2. What do you like most about working weddings?
One of my favorite parts of any event has always been the getting ready. The thing I like most is talking with the bride and the bridal parties, hearing what fun things they have done…being behind the scenes so to speak, on the big day!!
3. What’s the craziest thing that has happened to you while working a wedding?
There has never been anything really crazy happen to me. When I am there, everyone just gets to hang out and visit; the pressure is off the bride and bridesmaids cause hair and make-up is there!
4. What’s the best advice you can give to a bride?
Remember to take little mental snapshots of your day. It will go by really fast and many brides forget to step back and take it all in!
5. What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not busy with work?
My favorite thing to do is hang with my family and babies. I have 2 little ones, Jax is 5 and Lorin is 4. They keep me on my toes!
6. What’s your favorite food, animal, and color? Why?!
My favorite food is Mexican fare. I like spicy ,and it’s always a good time.
My favorite animal is the elephant. They are compassionate creatures, loyal, and very family-oriented. They are the only animal that can show emotion, so it’s easy for me to relate! hahaha And they bring good luck!
My favorite colors are purple and orange. Orange make me happy; it’s bright and festive. Purple is deep, rich in tone, fun or super cool.
