Summertime is here in the Wedding 101 studio, and we have one thing on our mind…summer wedding sips. We thought it might be fun to share some of our favorite summer cocktail recipes and even become the mixologists ourselves.
First up is Zoe’s Watermelon Mint Boozy Lemonade
This drink is a cute spin off of the classic lemonade. The fresh taste of watermelon and mint really make summer come to life. Think: upscale drink for the lemonade loving kid in all of us.
Ingredients:
1/4 Cucumber
1/4 cup Mint, packed leaves
2 1/2 lbs. Watermelon flesh
1/4 cup Agave syrup
1 cup Lemon juice, fresh
2 1/2 cups Rum, white
Next up is Shannon’s Pineapple, Mango, and Basil Sangria
This drink is classic and elegant, combining fruit with a symphony of basil. This summer sip will be a hit at your wedding. Think: pineapple, mango, and basil all go on an elegant Spanish vacation.
Ingredients:
1 cup Pineapple diced, fresh
1 cup Mango diced, fresh
6-8 Basil leaves, chopped 1 in.
2 1/2 cups Pineapple juice
1 bottle Dry white wine
1 cup St. Germain
Next up is Ashley’s Sparkling Ginger Mint Julep.
This dazzling drink will leave all your guests speechless. The mix of Bourbon and Ginger beer are a match made in heaven. Think: a southern tradition with a little bit of Gatsby spice.
Ingredients:
6 oz. Ginger Beer
2 oz. Bourbon
8 Mint leaves
Finally we have the Intern Special Peach-berry Mojito.
This fruity concoction will blow your taste buds away. This cocktail is fresh out of the garden with strawberries, peaches, and mint. Think: your fruits and herbs go on a date, fall in love, and live happily ever after.
Since this drink sounded so special, we decided to become the mixologists and make it ourselves. Picture snapped by Shannon on Zoe’s adorable rug. 🙂

Ingredients:
4 oz. Strawberry Mix
2 oz. White Rum
1 tbs. Muddled Peach
Small handful of fresh mint leaves
4-5 Fresh Strawberries
3 oz. Simple Syrup
1/2 tsp. Lime juice, fresh
via (Wedding Chicks)
Intern side note: If you are less of a sweet tooth we suggest that you add some seltzer water and only 2 oz of the strawberry mix.
