Summer Wedding Sips

Summertime is here in the Wedding 101 studio, and we have one thing on our mind…summer wedding sips. We thought it might be fun to share some of our favorite summer cocktail recipes and even become the mixologists ourselves.

First up is Zoe’s Watermelon Mint Boozy Lemonade

This drink is a cute spin off of the classic lemonade. The fresh taste of watermelon and mint really make summer come to life. Think: upscale drink for the lemonade loving kid in all of us.

Ingredients:

1/4               Cucumber

1/4 cup       Mint, packed leaves

2 1/2 lbs.    Watermelon flesh

1/4 cup        Agave syrup

1 cup             Lemon juice, fresh

2 1/2 cups    Rum, white

Next up is Shannon’s Pineapple, Mango, and Basil Sangria

This drink is classic and elegant, combining fruit with a symphony of basil. This summer sip will be a hit at your wedding. Think: pineapple, mango, and basil all go on an elegant Spanish vacation.

Ingredients:

1 cup            Pineapple diced, fresh

1 cup            Mango diced, fresh

6-8               Basil leaves, chopped 1 in.

2 1/2 cups   Pineapple juice

1 bottle         Dry white wine

1 cup             St. Germain

Next up is Ashley’s Sparkling Ginger Mint Julep.

This dazzling drink will leave all your guests speechless. The mix of Bourbon and Ginger beer are a match made in heaven. Think: a southern tradition with a little bit of Gatsby spice.

Ingredients:

6 oz.        Ginger Beer

2 oz.        Bourbon

8              Mint leaves

Finally we have the Intern Special Peach-berry Mojito.

This fruity concoction will blow your taste buds away. This cocktail is fresh out of the garden with strawberries, peaches, and mint. Think: your fruits and herbs go on a date, fall in love, and live happily ever after.

Since this drink sounded so special, we decided to become the mixologists and make it ourselves. Picture snapped by Shannon on Zoe’s adorable rug. 🙂

We loved this one! Absolutely refreshing!

Ingredients:

4 oz.       Strawberry Mix

2 oz.       White Rum

1 tbs.      Muddled Peach

Small handful of fresh mint leaves

4-5         Fresh Strawberries

3 oz.       Simple Syrup

1/2 tsp.  Lime juice, fresh

Intern side note: If you are less of a sweet tooth we suggest that you add some seltzer water and only 2 oz of the strawberry mix.

What is your favorite summer sip?

Happy Sipping!

XOXO,

Zoe and Shannon- Wedding 101 Interns
