I am a little obsessed with being organized. Okay, okay… I am a lot obsessed with being organized. I thought I’d share a couple of things that can help keep you organized while planning your wedding.

  1. Purchase a good organizer/planner. Keeping up with meeting notes, vendor brochures and business cards, and photos of ideas is key when trying to stay organized. You can purchase a great organize/planner or create your own with things you find at the office supply store. Look for things that can hold pens/highlighters, tabbed dividers or labeled folders, business card sleeves, note pads, etc.
  2. Create a wedding email address. You will be receiving a lot of wedding related emails and it may be easier for you to keep track of them if they aren’t mixed in with your other emails. You can even get creative with the email name like Sarah+Mark@blah.com or TheFutureJones@blah.com. If you are still loving the way the press likes to mesh celeb names you can head on over to USA Today’s Celebrity Name Generator. Lindsey + Brian = Linian *insert giggle here* You can use any free email service to set this up like yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc.
  3. Create a wedding website using a free service like mywedding.com. You can share you story, photos, have wedding guests share music ideas, introduce your bridal party, share where you are registered, and even allow guests to RSVP right online! A wedding website is a great way to keep your family and friends updated on how the planning process is going it can help you keep track of your music requests & guest list all in one single place.

Obviously these are just a few ideas! There are so many ways for you to get organized. What has been the biggest time saver for you as a bride? Do you have any unique ideas on staying organized? If so, please share them in the comments! We’d love to hear from you!

  1. I decided to send out my save the dates using email. I found a really cool site called wedding.me that let me create a wedding email address ending in @wedding.me to send out. It gave a nice wedding touch when my friends and family received then email. I think more people are going virtual or digital when it comes to wedding planning these days.
