Pickling, preserving, and canning are back in style. Well okay for some, like my grandmother, it never went out of style. I have to say that her canned green beans are the best on the planet. There’s just something about that homemade flavor when you combine home preserving with freshly picked fruits and veggies.Image via Martha Stewart
I love the texture that the waxed craft paper and twine give the above pickled okra such a down-home and southern feel. Whether you want to create some Lazy Woman Pickles (seriously addictive and delish, my neighbor gave me some last year and the jar was gone in one day), some peach preserves, or even pickled okra you’re guests will surely appreciate the time and care put into their favor.
