Part of the fun of having a bar at your wedding reception is getting the chance to create your very own signature cocktails! Or, if you’re having an alcohol-free affair, you can feature some signature mocktails! Either way, we’ve got some fun recipes for you to try! Enjoy!
Something Old…
Rum & Coke
• 2 ounces rum
• Cola
• Lime wedge for garnish
Shirley Temple
• 4 Tbsp grenadine Syrup
• 16 oz ginger ale
• Cherry for garnish
• Rim the glass with Pop Rocks for a special twist
Something New…
“Cotton Candy Cupid” – Cotton Candy Champagne
This is a new twist on a classic drink!
• Fill glass with cotton candy
• Slowly pour champagne over it
This drink works as a mocktail as well. Simply substitute the champagne for Lime Perrier or sparkling water or juice. The greatest thing about this drink is that the cotton candy will melt and attach to the bubbles making for a one-of-a-kind beverage!
Strawberry Vodka Lemonade, Mint Julep
[/vc_column_text]
“Sweet on You” – Strawberry Vodka Lemonade
• 2 cups sliced fresh sliced strawberries
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 7 cups water, divided
• 1-1/4 cups lemon juice (about the juice from 6 lemons)
• Pinnacle Strawberry Shortcake Vodka
In a saucepan over medium-high heat, bring strawberries, sugar and 1 cup of water to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 10 minutes. Place strawberry mixture in a blender or food processor and puree; set aside and allow to cool. In a pitcher, mix lemon juice, 6 cups of water and strawberry syrup. This is your Strawberry Lemonade. Now, you’ll “borrow” the lemonade to create the cocktail… In a glass over ice, mix 1 part Pinnacle Strawberry Shortcake Vodka with 3 parts Strawberry Lemonade.
Mint Juleps
• 6 mint leaves, rinsed
• 1 1/2 c. sugar
• 2 c. cold water
• 3/4 c. lemon juice
• 4 c. fresca (or any flavor of lemon-lime soda pop)
• 2 c. ginger ale
Place sugar, water and lemon juice in large bowl. Mix until sugar dissolves and add mint leaves. Let sit for 1 hour. Fill a large pitcher with ice and pour sugar, lemon juice mixture over ice. You can discard the mint leaves at this time. Add the borrowed beverages (fresca or ginger ale, etc.). Serve and enjoy!
Something Blue…
“Midnight Kiss”
• 40ml vodka
• 10ml blue curacao
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• champagne
Place the vodka, blue curacao, lemon juice and ice into a cocktail shaker and shake. Then strain into a champagne flute and top up with champagne!
“Frost Bite”
• 3 oz. lemon-lime soda
• 2 oz. white grape juice
• Fresh blueberries
• Fresh mint
• 1 oz. Pineapple juice
• 1 oz. Lime juice
In a shaker filled with ice, mix fresh lime juice and pineapple juice. Add white grape juice, mint and blueberries. Shake all ingredients well, and strain into a large glass filled with ice. Top with lemon-lime soda and garnish with fresh blueberries for a fun twist!
